Salety's Market - 411 Fish Row
Owned and operated by the Salety family, who live above the shop. The produce is not quite as good as Benson's , but the meat is the best in town, and the market carries beautiful Italian and Polish sausages of all kinds as well as fine Kosher goods. The prices are fair, and Mr. Salety is always happy to order, and perhaps start carrying, any particular goods his customers ask for. Salety's also has a sandwich and soda counter inside the shop that is almost never without a few customers.
Salety's is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
Momma Salety's cooking is often smelled as it wafts down into the shop urging on the customers to make purchases.
Along with the Saletys live their loyal and family-friendly triplet Rat Terriers Tony, Vinny, and Marco.
Tony, Vinny, and Marco guard the shop and the street and alley around it from the incursion of any and all rodents. They are a happy-go-lucky trio who can be very tough boys if the need arises. They are perhaps best known in the neighborhood for their musical tendencies and sometimes perform for other animals under the name of "Marco and the Royales".
