First National Grocery Store - 422 N Garrison Street

This large store is part of a national chain. The manager is 37-year-old Arthur Anderson, formerly of Philadelphia. The company transferred Arthur here about a year ago, and he and his family like living in New Jerusalem. Besides the New Jerusalem store, Anderson as district manager is also responsible for stores in Blaine’s Port and in shunned Sethwich. He visits both stores at least once a month and is well aware of Sethwich’s oddities.   Betty Monroe works at the First National Grocery Store as a clerk. Betty has a good memory for what customers tend to buy, which means that she also notices when someone is buying items that they don’t normally get, not that she would share such information with others as she does not approve of anyone who wishes to gossip about others’ personal lives. She also knows a reasonable amount about Sethwich, from what the manager, Arthur Anderson, has said about his visits; enough that she would never visit there and would advise against anyone else doing so.
