Owned and operated by Mathew Phillips, the black sheep of the New Jerusalem Phillips family because of his 'artistic' leanings. Mathew is a portrait photographer who has the contract at all local schools for their class and yearbook photos. His studio includes a fully equipped darkroom with equipment to give the right touch-ups to less than perfect subjects.
Known only to a few and not suspected by the local police, Mathew also makes a good side living by processing blue photos and small movies for particular clients, as well as by having a tightly locked back room for 'boudoir' shoots. He is on friendly terms with Honey Combs and the other working girls at the Maid's Lament as well as Angel Daley, who, all knowing him well, consider him akin to the big sister many of them never had.
Mathew can often be found in the evenings at the Parisian trading drinks and jests with his special friend Pierre Devereaux.
