Sillon de Letha

Geography

The Sillon de Letha is a geological ridge in Southern Armorica, extending along a NNW-SSE axis from the banks of the Liger River at Naoned to the Ar Briwer wetlands.   In the SSE, at Naoned, the SIllon rises from the flat open plains along the Liger River is stark cliffs in the Grimward. The South slope of the ridge is marked by hills of rolling farmland, cut by numerous canals and rivulets, until it reaches the Ar Briwer wetlands. Here, the sillon is maked by a dramatic escarpment rising over the wetlands, continuing until it is subsumed by the wetlands at the town of Pontkastell.   The Northern slope, in contrast, marks the Southern edge of the Naoned Plateau and is made up of modest hills until reaching the Gwilen River.
