Kastellin Basin
Geography
The Kastellin Basin is a depression along the Aon River between the Meneziou Are to the North and the Meneziou Du to the South. Beginning in the Huelgoat Forest, the Western extremity of the Brekilien, the river has it source in the Viscounty-Bishopric of Landreger, flowing West through Viscounty of Poher and the Barony of Dardoup before skirting the borders of the Barony of Bidar and Barony of Rouzig before emptying into the Rade de Brest
The valley, nestled between the highlands to the north and south, is made up of gently rolling hills covered in hedge, light forest and open fields.
Fauna & Flora
The region is the original home of the Poulpiquet, the mischievous Korrigan of the Dale
Natural Resources
Slate mining is a booming industry here, the materials mined used in construction across the North. Slate is quarried from cliff faces and open air pits, loaded onto barges and transported to Brest and Landern. From those it is shipped along the coast to Normaundie. The slate quarries in the region are the largest in Kornôgel, except for those of the County of Angers (V).
History
For a time, the entire Kastellin Valley was dominated by the Kingdom of Poher, the domain of Conomor the Cursed.
