Brekilien
The Green Sea of Letha stands in the interior of the Duchy, the green of the treetops stretching to the horizon, rippling live waves in the winds that blow across the Peninsula. Islands of clear land can be found within its domain, which remains impenetrable to the whims of man to control it. It is the realm of the Faerie and the Korrigan, ruled by the Queens of Winter and Summer, a place of great wonder and danger. Magik holds sway over the depths beneath the green canopy, as unpredictable as any sea of water. Legends are born here and few who enter leave as they came. Once exploited by the cities of men, the Forest has retaken the land, spreading further than before. Tread lightly and stick to the paths within, or you may find yourself adrift in the sea of life.
Once gravely over-exploited, the forest has replenished itself, expanding beyond its historical limits with the aid of Faerie Magik, taking up a large swath of the interior of the Armorican Peninsula. The Forest is held in turn by the Queens of Summer and Winter as nominal vassals of the Duchy of Letha, with actual rule changing with the seasons.
Geography
The Brekilien is a vast forest covering much of the Eastern Ar Goat (interior) of the Armorican Peninsula, within the Duchy of Letha. It stretches from the Roazhon Basin to the Huelgoat Forest, where the trees thin out as the land rises to the bald granite peaks of Meneziou Are and dips down into the river valley of the Kastellin Basin.
The flat meadows and gently rolling hills of the Gwilen River valley outside of Roazhon gradually begin to rise as one travels westward along the Meu River into the Barony of Porhoet, where the forest begins, quickly growing denser until it dominates the landscape.
he land begins with flat meadows and gently rolling hills in the west, moving up the plateau to rough moorland and into the mountains and swamplands on the Menez-Du. Rivers, streams, ponds and lakes flow across this forest, maintaining the "Green Sea" that dominates the interior. Rocky outcroppings, boulders and jagged barren stretches of rock burst from the ground throughout the forests. Cromlechs, dolmens, menhirs and tumuli are found in great numbers within its boundaries.
Granted to the Sidhe Courts of Summer and Winter by Konstanza de Leon, the region's faerie influences are quite visible, and vast portions of the forest have been subsumed by Faerie entirely, even supporting Faewylde deep within. Rough, winding paths cut through the brush, traversing hills and valleys and crossing streams where forgotten travelers have left rocks and logs to continue their journey. Crystal caves, leaves that ring like chimes and deep, sapphire-blue pools can be found in the dark depths of the forest. Will-o'-the-wisps light the dark forest, giving off an eerie blue glow that shimmers of luminescent ferns and mushrooms.
The location is known for its unusual weather, where pouring rain leaves the ground dry, clear skies erupt into thunderstorms and blizzards move through without warning, the leaving surrounding bocage untouched.

Fauna & Flora
The low forest, in the East, is marked by broad-leaved trees such as oaks and beech, gradually transitioning to conifers as it reaches the moorlands and mountains of the West.
The fauna is largely consistent with that of the Ar Goat of the Armorican Peninsula and it is home to deer, wolves, foxes, rabbits and many other creatures.
The strange creature Yan-Gant-Y-Tan (Night wanderer) wanders the western hills of the Huelgoat forest, holding five candles on five fingers, which he spins constantly like a wheel. He is often considered a bad omen to meet, foretelling further disaster, but he will also offer his candles to those without any light of their own, lighting their path to safety for the rest of the night.
Natural Resources
Prior to the granting of the Forest to the Queens of Summer and Winter, the forest was largely used in the construction of Roazhon and other surrounding settlements. Firewood is collected on the outskirts for use in forges along the border of the forest, which smelt ores from the Meneziou Are. Trees are still felled for lumber, but in more controlled locations to not upset the Sidhe. The same is said of the animal pelts which can be harvested by hunters from the rich fauna within the woods. Those who steal from the forest under the protection of the Fae often suffer innovative punishments at the hands of the Fae, even for innocent trespass.
