I am but a Humble Merchant

Pretty easy after getting back to camp. I was workin away on a doodad to cast Silence for Kniana. They were planin a retrieval mission to the castle in the shadow realm prison place for the waystone. I left my door open to listen in and offer advice while I was working. They were talking approaches, different routes, loud vs quiet etc. I piped up wit various suggestions of fire based distractions, something like Dimension Door to just bypass whichever walls they encounter. A topic of how magics work in the realm was brought up and how they are affected. Later we found out that they are weakened, but not gone. I was seriously concerned after that. The mine experience was limiting enough for my trinkets. I'm no young wyrm either, I've past my dangerous adventuring years right now is just a vacation from my duties. I just wanted to go out and make enough to afford to set a shop somewhere after my last bit of apprenticeship. I didn't want to be in such mortal danger that seems to follow this group. I mean we make it back to probably one of the most safe spots in the region right now and Eval STILL goes away for a few hours to come back almost dead! I'm sorry but I have responsibilities to too many people yet to go diving into some pocket dimension that is originating the... fallen?...turned?... the tainted. I still want them to live as they are proving to be very resilient fighters and I would be a fool to ignore Kniana's connections. I was still going to help them even if I wasn't be there.
Eventually the Cloud Dragon peaked into my cart after some discussion and some of the tending druids came by. They asked about storing Bessy in my cart. I think it was as a potential to take my everything with if I WAS going with the group. Unfortunately, with the combination of Skrel's and Eval's finds, belongings, and the boulder of a crystal my cart was reaching its limits. They brought up the idea of storing her as a small statue. I've heard about that in passing before and it would work even if she might not be too keen on it. Well the druids also talked to the group about when to leave, in an hour, in the night, or in the morning. I say my bit about needing time to make a Dimension Door. Plus the fact that the tainted seemed to be weaker at night meant that they would take off later in the night. They also talk about Zaltharian could fly us depending on the magics as apparently if you aren't used to leyline travel it's sickening. They left us to our own until I finished the trinket. After regrouping around midnight it was time to travel. This is where I announced my decision.
I told them my thoughts about lessened magic and how I would likely turn into more of a burden in a place with abnormal magics. I cannot fight without my magics and I have no time to try and compensate with any alchemy or mechanical or otherwise devices. This last six days has been the most fast paced in my life as the wedding alone seems like months ago already. I work incredibly hard and fast but I can only do so much. I instead offered my useful trinkets to attempt to help them. I gave them my belt with Shield and Ironskin, my masterwork dagger with Guidance, a pen with Mending and Cure Light wounds, a ring with Reduce Person, a ring with Invisibility, a ring with Remove Curse, and a monocle with Dimension Door. I gave them a rundown on how each item worked. They still might end up breaking them, but hopefully they remember the instructions enough. I also offered them any of the potions and scrolls I had. They ended up only taking the various healing potions. In the end Kniana took the tree Cure Serious Wounds potions, Eval and lilly both grabbed the Cure Moderates. They took all my offered items, but Skrel seemed keen on the ring with Invisibility, Lilly got the belt, Eval got the pen and Kniana chose my dagger. Tamebrass came by in war paints and someone made mention about lending him the Adamantine Breastplate the kobolds gave to us. I suppose so as he did deliver the late Corpl.'s gloves, and now that I know he likes Kniana my guess is that he will try to protect her more. Some investment in his safety would help my standing with Kniana even better. With them all outfitted I followed them over to where they would be departing.
We walked to another part of the encampment to find a nearly completed runic circle with Tel. We start talking more about which magics are and aren't effective in the other realm. This led to talk of stars and me wondering about what material you could get from one. I kept theorizing about that with other planes with him of fire and air and all sorts of outsider materials. Well they had to go, so I waved as they left and pulled a little prank as they went. I yelled at them to not forget.... in regards to my trinkets. Make them worry a bit and probably make the group more careful with them. After they left I went to go start work on that quiver of Endless Ammunition and a Headband of Wisdom for Eval.
