End of the Fest

Well, that competition was entertaining. They all decided to go back to the tavern to tell stories and celebrate. I have some work to do. I went back to the Snaggletooth Emporium to get to work on prepping for this trip to Brentwood. Making a driver for the cart and transcribing those new spells into my book will occupy my time. At about midnight a bang drew my attention outside as the noble district is usually pretty quiet at night. Turns out some poor fool attempted to get into my cart. My trap tripped and Bessy got a part of their red fur cloak, hopefully they choose to learn not mess with my cart again.
The following day most of this group visited the shop, Kniana presented a cloth with powder residue saying that some younglings were using it as a drug. She asked if I knew anything about the alchemy related to it and it turns out to be powdered f-crystals! She said that the stuff was called "Blue Spider Silk". It wasn't pure crystal it was mixed with something metallic, kind of like blood. Maki got a bit scared and started cleaning it up immediately, and rightly so! George messed with it and lost his shop! Hell, he said the "last guy I heard took that stuff got sucked into the void". Thank gods those youth are still on this plain. Apparently the stuff causes people to go into hysteria and over doses cause weird things to happen. Guards trying to stop them end up killing them more often than the drug itself does from rumors that Maki heard. This stuff is fine, to fine to be by-product like what I have made. This stuff was purposely ground for being a drug. This could potentially be dwarven work. Makes me wonder what would happen if you infused this into honey, maybe caffeine? Anyway, Leo was being a window shopper unwilling to commit to anything. I'm keeping an eye on 'em after what he's said in the library. Eval's item is done and will be here in about 5 days, I told the GOW to make us some of those rings the banks ordered. Would make local deliveries so much easier. Anyway, seems the group I'm now a part of is staying at the Burning Wand, real nice place great boiled goose. Maki got excited when Eval said he won a quiver of arrows. He has been after some Woodhandle arrows for awhile now. Maki ended up turning one into something like a Sizzling Arrow, I'll have to take notes when Eval uses it for him. Eh, I made some tea with ~just~ enough sugar. Then Skrel came around with Lily talking about getting into a fight or recovering a noble's goods? I don't know, I just politely asked them to leave to maintain plausible deniability and to prevent poor Maki and the brotherhood from all this. Especially after the spider silk stuff... But sounds like Eval's item will be forwarded to the common goods shop out in Brentwood. Should be easy enough to get a confirmation on delivery with me there.
