 biped furniture is surreal to begin with and seeing it 3 times its usual size is an experience
 eating dinner at the same table as a giant is an experience
 trying to look pleased while sitting through so many gruesome war stories ... tested my resolve
 the chef "kurhak" is very skilled so the food was excellent ... and he was pleased to assist us in driving gorodan out so zer's sleep potion was on gorodan's meal before it hit the table
 it didn't start to work until dessert
 
 once he was finally upstairs the guards escorted us out
 and since kurhak lent us the key to the side entrance we came right back in through the kitchen
 gorodan never cooked his own meals but everything in the kitchen was sized for a giant – an apparent love for making people struggle to work on unreasonable terms which fits right in with his personality
 hence kurhak's assistance
 unfortunately to get to gorodan we still had to deal with several of his most loyal guards
 
 when addressing them i did my best to make use of gemini star's advice and lean in to my unearned reputation
 "you can fight us or fight with us – it's your choice!"
 that wasn't exactly the phrasing i'd intended
 none of them chose to assist but 2 of them did panic and run away so it was a little effective?
 so there was a fight with the remaining guards
 and there was a fight with gorodan because of course he wouldn't go quietly after relic told him he was an unwelcome guest
 
 spark used her periapt of scale to grow large enough to pin the fire giant down and the rest of us had to put our all into helping with that
 when the bailiff went in to apply a mark of banishing we found that he already had one!
 he has two now
 they get very cold when he's in a place he shouldn't be and suddenly that included where he was in the moment
 before he ran screaming i warned him that if he ever did this again i'd ask my friends to not hold back
 another threat
 
 i'm not sure i like gem's advice on negotiating but it did seem to sink in so maybe gorodan really will stop being a bully?
 anyhow his lackeys have been arrested so perhaps the city can recover from what his presence did to them
 as a bonus we were granted use of his carriage (and a wagon more suitable for medya and i) so we're on our way to great crag now
 and with any luck unicorns now have a more positive reputation in vralkek
 or at least this one does
