Nerridon
Much like New Kharolin, the Nerrid capital of Nerridon consists of both above and underground sections. Old Nerridon consists of the original city of Nerridon, which is a rabbit's warren of tunnels and underground passages, and all of the various complexes that sprouted from it. Basically, today, any reference to ‘Old Nerrid’ is a reference to any part of the underground city. The series of tunnels that make up Old Nerridon now covers much of ground beneath most of the Frungof Mountains with extensions running east along the Mole River to Furnof and south along the Feathered River to Lartcha. These tunnels and caverns include everything that you would expect a thriving city to have; government centers, homes, markets, and commercial areas are just a fraction of the Old City. It also includes mines, and vast underground farming complexes. The main problem when visiting the Peninsula is that when someone refers to Old Nerridon, they can be referring to either the original city, which for the most part is still intact and located beneath Upper Nerrid, or they could be referring to any part of the underground complex. The Nerrid have a saying to describe this, “The closest hole in the ground leads to Main Street.” (Not many people understand Nerrid sayings.)
Upper Nerridon is a beautiful testament to the technological advancement of the Nerrid. Buildings range from one to ten stories in height, and the highest tower presently standing is twenty-five stories tall (these are Nerrid sized stories of course). The city is truly a beauty to behold. Each building is faced in flawless stone, and furnished to the utmost degree. The Nerrid’s advanced forms of engineering are truly evident here, as well as their craft as illusion makers. The city revolves around the People's Square, located directly at it’s center. Surrounding the square are the Nerrid Alliance government buildings on two sides, the main entrance to the Nerrid National Library on another, and the mothballed headquarters for the Nerrid Secret Service on the last one.
