Pike River
Named for the massive predatory fish that make their home in this wide but fast flowing river, the Pike flows a few dozen leagues westward, leaving the Frungof Mountains before emptying into the Darsiac Ocean. The river bisects vast pine and birch forests of the western Nerrid Peninsula, with the miniaturized Volarka Forest to the south juxtaposed against the more "normal" Schemka Forests along its northern shores. Given the speed at which it flows and its width, few creatures cross from one side to another, making it an excellent natural boundary for the strange magics of the Volarka.
