Schemka Forests
The spruce, fir, and hemlock of the Schemka Forests stretch along the northwest coast of the Nerrid Peninsula. An isolated forest that sees little civilized traffic, save for the occasional Eldorian galleon bound for the Great North Sea, the forest is home to great herds of deer and elk, packs of cunning wolves, great striped hunting cats, and ferocious owlbears. The long winters and wet summers make life a struggle for all of the creatures found in the region with the balance of predator and prey a precarious one. In recent years that balance is said to have shifted with the arrival of a young green dragon, seeking to carve out his domain amongst the trees. What treasures might have attracted the dragon are unknown, as there are no tales of ancient ruins, caches of gold, or other such mysteries from the region.
