Great North Sea
Far to the north of, separating the Frozen Wastes from the rest of central and eastern Tarien, are the frigid black waters of the Great North Sea. Shrinking in size during the winter months when it freezes and filled with treacherous icebergs even in high summer, sailing its waters has proven treacherous on countless occasions. Add in the unpredictable storms at any time of year and it is little wonder why there are few ports on its shore. The lure of massive schools of fish and pods whales, however, does attract ships from the Zennon and Wargun. Most, however, sell their catches only in their port of call and their whale oil only within The Zennonaize Confederacy as it is a rare ship willing to brave the shallows around Olaf's Wand.
