Forest Zorn
Filled with dense stands of short but thin pines, these forests sit between unnamed glacial mountains and the Great North Sea. Filled with a variety of small mammals, such as deer, squirrels, hare, and a dozen varieties of mice, the forests have few predators. Twice a year, around the equinoxes, huge herds of caribou tramp through the trees on their annual pilgrimages to find fresh grazing ground. With them come lean packs of wolves that follow the herds year round.

The lack of large creatures, such as bear or tiger, does not mean that the forest is a safe home for its residents. Instead, a strange haze often descends among the trees, accompanied by an odd, high pitched sound. A few explorers have claimed that the sound and mist has an alien origin while others blame a more arcane heritage. Whatever its source, local animals either flee or hide from its presence. Those that don't find themselves nothing more that bleached bones resting for eternity under the evergreen trees.
