Rahnhopf Forest
Located in the northeast corner of the Nerrid Peninsula the massive evergreen trees of Ranhopf Forest have long been considered "just outside" the purview of the Nerrid Alliance. The reason for this is simple. In addition to trees that soar several hundred feet in the air, the forest is home to massive, white furred and four armed apes that do not take kindly to visitors. In fact, the forest was once known as the Poralokuta Marmajalan Ventroric Forest (or the Forest of the Four Armed Apes in Nerridian) until the Nerrid naturalist Rahnhopf Marcussonsonsonsonson vowed to study the creatures in the middle of the seventh century. Depsite his intense training in survival skills and attempts to learn the languages of smaller apes in Azermathia, Rahnhopf never returned from his trip. To this day, Nerrid refer to the forest by his name in honor of his bravery.
