Grey Peaks
Unlike their cousins, the Jasper Mountains to the south, the Grey Peaks stand stall and jagged along the eastern frontier of Azermathian civilization. Their perpetually snow-capped peaks combine with the smoldering giant that is the Firmont to form an effective wall between the Hinterlands and the dusty Bertagin Savanah, populated by the Kyushu Horde, beyond.
Few parties have investigated the steep slopes of the range. Those that have either beat a hasty retreat from the tribes of goblins that live among its fir and spruce lined lower slopes or else have never returned, having fallen victim to other, more dangerous predators. Everyone in their shadow has at least one story of seeing a great shadow pass the sun - draconic wings silhouette over the white peaks. A few have even been corroborated. One farmer in the Eastwood swears he saw a pair of the great beasts soaring at sunset.
A Dragon Over the Grey Peaks
Those wishing passage through the mountains, and into the mysterious Grey Vale beyond, might consider the Redstone River as an option. Its headwaters, however, remain unexplored except by the party of Roderick of Rathgar who, of course, never returned.
