Eastwood
Fed by the waters of the River Gryphon and the Redstone River, nurtured by the seasonal monsoons that blow in from the Gulf of Azermathia, the twisted acacia and thick trunked baoba for a sanctuary of shade from the summer heat. Home to baboons and small antelope - the larger buffalo and other herd animals being driven from the steppes by the advance of the humanity, this forest is not nearly as dense as those of the north, but still feels thick when compared to the Steppes to the east. The great spaces between trees give tall grasses and prickly shrubs ample space to grow and provide homes for warthogs and wild boar. Packs of strongly furred black wolves patrol the undergrowth while spotted leopards rule its canopy. Despite the proximity to human settlements in the Hinterlands at least one tribe of Goblins also calls the forest their home, holding their borders secure against farmers and ranchers with nighttime raids and clever traps.
