Battlegamau Pier

This large coastal city is one of the primary trade hubs within Nugelasau. Populated by a wide variety of races from all over the world, the Swiftstride Shifters hold the majority of powerful governmental positions enforce strict regulations over imports and immigration through the location.   It is one of the primary entry points into Nugelasau, as it is built between both the Blackbeck River which leads south from Kogzar, as well as Deadgod's Inlet, which is the closest a person can travel on ship towards the Throne of Shone Volar.   In recent months Borborygmos, a giant turned warlord, sent his countess to take the location as a vassal city for him. Now the city is guarded by a trio of giants and is watched over by a number of the Countesses children. Though, due to the acquiescence of the local leadership, the city still runs much as it normally had, though with a bit more tension in the air than before.   The city itself is fairly large, with a population of around 11,000 year round, with another approximately 2,000 at any time with ships coming into port.

Districts

  1. Trade District - This district is where most, though not all, trade goods that come to the city end up, either for trade, sale, or purchase. Larger and louder goods such as livestock and building materials are most often found along the eastern most end of the district. The more expensive and intricate goods such as magic items and jewlery can be found closer to the town square along the southern end of the district.
  2. The Docks - The smallest district in The Pier, The Docks is made up mostly of warehouses, storage facilities, and officies for traders who pass in and out of the port.
  3. Upper Ward - Upper Ward is home to a large keep that is home to the Lord of the city. Just outside the gates of the keep are a number of inns, taverns, most temples, and other similar establishments that focus on hospitality and entertainment.
  4. Dullstreet - This area spans the length of the city and is the primary residential district, with the most wealthy citizens living in homes along the northern end.
  5. North Town - The oddly-named North Town is the district that surrounds the north-western, western, and south-western edges of the city and is populated mostly by laborers.
