Martial

Martial is the only country in Shavirouk that is fully seperated from all other countries. It is located between the continents of Urai and Qemogrura, and has no magic whatsoever. The country is made up of 5 main islands clustered together, with another claimed territory far north in the Brimminggrave Sea. The capitol city of Martial is Zanka which sprawls across the heart of the largest of the islands.
People from Martial are generally referred to as Martialites, Martials, or Mundanes. They are a highly advanced people who live on the four central most islands. Most citizens of the country have some basic training with combat techniques and various forms of weaponry.

Structure

The country of Martial is an elected democracy.
All citizens vote yearly for their local representatives, the people who directly oversee the daily lives of the citizens under their jurrisdiction; such as a small town outside of a city, or a particular district of a larger city.  These representatives are elected from among the citizenry themselves for positions in which they have a suitable amount of knowledge; teachers and scholars work to improve education, mechanics and construction workers improve infrastructure, and medics help to organize healthcare for the public.
Every 4 years, citizens vote for their regional representatives, the people who write the laws of the country with input from local representatives, and negotiate trade with other regions of the country.
Every 8 years, a pair of co-leaders are elected by citizens to help lead the country as a whole, as well as electing 8 ambassadors to live and work in each of the other countries of Shavirouk.

Culture

Due to the complete lack of magic within The Martial Triangle, Martialites have been forced to adapt to the challenges of living in a world where magic is so prevalent. A part of this has been the reliance on one another for the necessities of life, leading to open access to medical care, education for all who wish for it, free housing for all, and other necesseties of life being easily accessible for all people within Martial, wether or not they're citizens of the country.
Clothing: The people of Martial wear clothing distinct from most other places in Shavirouk, with tight corsets, top hats, bustles, and full skirts.  These are often accessorized by bits of metal and artifice, such as a small pocket watch, or shoes with a wheel in the heel to provide additional utility and movement at a moment's notice.
Music:The Martial people have a unique culture that is wildly different from any others in Shavirouk. Their taste in music is much the same.

Assets

Over the centuries, the people of this country have developed from using simple clubs and rock hammers, to using more powerful weapons and tools made of bronze such as simple swords and studded armor, to forged iron and steel that could last longer and be more durable for weapons like greatswords and crossbows, and armor made of sturdy plate, and into the modern age where new metals are being used for even more advanced creations such as firearm weapons and mechanical armor.
But the tools of war are not the only creations which the people of Martial have made. Early forms of transporation, such as bicycles and motorcars, eventually moved into much larger, faster, and more powerful vehicles, such as the modern train steamboat or airship, all of which help connect people of the divided country easily, spanning hundreds of miles in only a few short hours.
Aside from these, other mechanical creations have been made to help improve the daily lives of the common person; refrigerators and ice coolers keep perishable goods cold, radios share information and music across vast expanses to a large number of people, and vacuums make cleaning fast and easy.  In the past few years, movie theaters have started to become more common place, shows presented in modern black and white motion for the entertainment or education of people from all ranks of society.

• Martial was formally founded in 68614 BPA in the early years of the Era of Conflict.
• During the early years of the Era of War, they perfected the crafting of large and powerful weapons such as great swords, battle axes and war hammers.
