Tahn Ska
Tahn Ska is the island country found most central between Urai and Quemogrura. Above ground, the country is a burned and broken landscape with few small towns scattered across the surface. However, beneath the surface is a massive system of tunnels, both natural and man-made. The capitol city, Morum is the most well known entry point into the underdark country of Tahn Ska, with the temple of Daulesa, god of transmutation, being another.
People from Tahn Ska, often called Tahnies or Skites, are a people used to change. They have adapted to alterations and have gained a natural ability to transmute. Due to the natural lack of light both in the tunnels below and the ash above, people born here have also adapted to be able to see in the darkness.

Culture
The society of Tahn Ska is made up primarily of nomadic tribes or clans that can move easily and adapt to sudden changes in their environment. While settlements have semi-permanent structures, the people are aware of how quickly such things can be lost and so rarely grow attatched to locations. These semi-permanent settlements are often known as Comms (communities).
Most comms in Tahn Ska are found underground in either massive carved out caverns, or systems of smaller caves connected by tunnels, though there are a number of nomadic people who live in comms above ground. The largest of these caverns are connected via massive tunnels hundreds of feet high that twist throughout the land beneath the surface. These tunnels regularly have cave-ins or collapses while other new tunnels appear seemingly overnight due to the massive creatures that burrow throughout Tahn Ska.
As the people are accustomed to change, there is rarely any sense of stability from location to location, primarily as a result of the ever shifting landscape. The few places in Tahn Ska that don't change, primarily the capitol city and the Throne of Daulesa, are mostly used as trade stops, meeting points, and neutral territory for warring clans to meet at, with few natives living therein for more than a few years at a time. Clothing: Clothing varies among the people of Tahn Ska, depending on wether they're in the underdark or the overland wastes. When in the caves below ground, simple clothing with ample storage is the norm; large pockets and places to clip on packs or small pouches. These are most often dark colors, greys, blacks, and browns, though other colors are used to add a bit of extra, though never anything bright.
When in the wasteland overworld, survival in a dangerous and rapidly changing environment is paramount. Masks are worn to filter air and protect the skin from ash, particles, and dust. Glasses or goggles are worn to protect the eyes, and sturdy gloves to protect the hands. Thick, insulated coats are worn to protect from the cold or from sudden impacts, and body suits made of sturdy and breathable fabrics to endure extreme heat are worn beneath. Everything has a way to quickly release so that, if caught or trapped, things can be left behind to allow a quick escape. Leaving behind one's clothing is often as much of a risk, if not more so, than staying put for whatever creature may come upon you, as the environment is harsh and deadly and difficult to survive in for long without the proper attire. Music: The caves of the Tahn Ska underdark have lead to a strange type of music developing in the country. While the instruments vary, the constant echoing has lead to a preference for music that many who visit find to be eerie and unsettling.
Example: here The world above is vastly different than the shifting tunnels below. Ruined and irradiated by decades of magical warfare, the surface is toxic and unpredictable. Specialized protective equipment or powerful defensive spells are a must for those who wish to live or travel in the wasteland.

History
- During the early decades of the Era of Conflict, many people of Tahn Ska began to move into cave systems and tunnels beneath the earth as a means of hiding from many raiding bands and foreign armies that came to the country. The decision was likely the only reason that the country survived the war
- Ground zero for many of the most deadly battles throughout the Era of War. As a result, the land above ground has become a toxic and deadly wasteland blanketed in magical radiation.

Change is the most natural state of the world.
