An A to Z index of all articles relating to settlements of the world of Isekai.
Forest’s Edge is aptly named, a grouping of houses & buildings on the very edge of the Elven Forest, right on the edge of the Neither Tundra. Nowadays, life is slow here, moving at a snail's pace unless some traveler wanders in or footprints in the snow.
Caretakers and others chose to build on the hallowed ground, making sure the upkeep of both the cemetery and fallen sword were not neglected. Soon a village formed, taking the name of Krojak's End.
Yllvalion is the home to the main Northern Outpost of the Elven Kingdom. It is also the town when the renowned paladin order, the Knights of Yggdrasil, make their home and where the leader of the Ylyndar family resides.
Alfensil is the largest city in the Elven Kingdom, serving as the capital and home to the Kingdom's magic academy, the Unending Scroll. Here, the Elves have embraced both sides of their heritage, that of magic and of nature.
Harkin (settlement)
Harkin is the town where the resident lord, Darius Nizz, makes his home. This is a sizable settlement on the frontier of the Human Empire, right on the edge of the Great Plains and surrounded by all manner of wildlife.
Within miles of the entrance of the Great Tunnel tucked in the Spine of Kallex, one finds the great city of Eryndlyn, a prosperous hub of trade and scandal.
With the fall of the Paladin of Dreadfall came the fall of the city itself. The followers of Tartarus had no reason to remain once their leader disappeared, choosing to leave the once magnificent city to be swallowed by the mist from the Dragon Ozul.
Faelon (settlement)
At the northern most point of the Amaratharr Valley, hidden amongst the adolescent Aelinor Oaks, rests a village of deer-hide tents centered around a low wooden building. The small tents surrounding the wooden building will never number more than four.
Tucked along the coast between the Fairy King's Wood and the Little Greenwood, a weary traveler may find the quaint village of Pleasant Valley. Those who enter here will find pleasures of all types, drinks and fine foods appearing as if by magic.
Lacking the magic of their Elven heritage and the ability to wield Firearms like their Human ancestors, this Half-Elf settlement made its name through the use of Human ingenuity and Elven luck.
Once a solitary Clay Giant settlement with only a handful of farmers, the hamlet of Campfire has grown, becoming of village that transcends the culture of storytelling that these people hold, bringing in new peoples and cultures.

Greenhaven
Greenhaven is known for being the most well-protected settlement in the Human Empire found in the Depths of the Great Plains. Ruled by House Sunder and their Wyverns, the city is heavily protected from all enemies.
Snow Fences
So far to the north, snow fences are common to keep the Neither Tundra from encroaching farther south than necessary. Villages like Forest's Edge have more robust snow fences than elsewhere.
Human
Humans can be found nearly everywhere across the world but tend to centralize themselves in their ancestral homeland, the Great Plains. It is said that the great god Dern built the capital city of Stronghold.
Insignia of the Fearsome Maw
The Insignia of the Fearsome Maw has seen an immense amount of debate throughout its lifetime, with the finality winning out only in the recent era in the wake of the war. Though it is the picture of equality, it favors none and is perhaps the most heated topic of debate in snide political talks. The likeness of a Dragon is the symbol chosen to represent the country in honor of the lineage of those that call it home, however, depending on the sector of the city the likeness of the Dragon is changed to reflect that sector's heritage. In the sector where Red Dragonkin live, the insignia is that of a Red Dragon and the likeness is changed for each sector. Despite this, the unified insignia put forth by the council shows a single likeness that is voted upon at the start of each century and campaigned for based on the achievements of each sector. The insignia of the current age is that of the Green Dragon, championed and won through the political achievements of the sector belonging to the Green Dragonkin who were the first to establish ties with Fire & Gold, Inc., ushering in substantial opportunities for the country as a whole.
Crest of Yllvalion
Following the precedent set in Alfensil, a crest was created upon the completion of the white citadel to mark the goods and objects that were created within the city's walls. While most of these goods never leave the city or the Northern Outposts, this crest is a symbol of creation through hardship and the successes that the people of Yllvalion have found in the shadow of possible war.
Crest of the Sapphire City
Under the leadership of the Thunderbeard Clan, the Dwarven Kingdom has flourished and become a hub of trade and craftsmanship throughout the world. This crest denotes an item created within the Sapphire City, the capital of the Dwarven Kingdom, as it is said that anything created in the capital is of the highest quality.
Crest of Leyline
At one point, the crest of Leyline stood as the pinnacle of magical technology, a point that few attempted for fear of pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible. The Djinn didn't believe in those boundaries, seeing the chalice in their crest as a bottomless cup of knowledge that all should partake from.
Empress' Cultural Fund
Representatives of the Human Empire
The
Empress' Cultural Fund, located in
Castle Nightbreeze, serves as the funding source for all cultural endeavors in the
Human Empire. Through their fundraising efforts and their historic preservation, one of the largest museums in Isekai has been established in the
Human capital of
Stronghold. This museum holds one of the most complete histories of the world.
Elven Historic Council
Representatives of the Elven Kingdom
The
Elven Historic Council, located in the
Unending Scroll, serves as the protector and conservator of historic and cultural places throughout the
Elven Kingdom. Through their efforts, a variety of locations throughout the
Elven Forest related to not only the history of
Alfensil but also the histories of the
Outlands and
Northern Outposts have been preserved and turned into interactive museums through the use of magic.
Crest of the Paladin of Dreadfall
This crest picturing a moon reminscient of a halo was the symbol of the Paladin of Dreadfall. Throughout the city and on the armor he wore, this crest denoted those that fought against the greatest evils that could be found throughout Káto.
Crest of Alfensil
Millennia ago, the King's Council created a crest that would be placed on all goods or objects that originated in Alfensil. This crest indicated a good of Elven make or something that was enchanted with magic. Over the years, this crest has become an integral part of Alfensil's identity to the rest of the world.
Defensive Measures
Due to the magic that was used while building the Silver Spire, the building does have a variety of defenses that will activate if Alfensil is threatened. The most common of these defenses is for some of the pointed parts of the spire to move toward the base and spread out, causing a circle of sharp points to encircle the building, keeping unwanted guests out.
Silver Spire
The grandiose Silver Spire is often best viewed from the southern end of Alfensil through the Aelinor Oaks. The glow from the spire often obscures the sights around it, making it seem like the centerpiece of the city instead of the oldest tree in the forest.
Decorative Columns
While the outside of the Silver Spire is defined by silver and other metallic details, the inside brings more of the white marble that lines the streets of Alfensil to the interior. Decorative columns encrusted with precious metals and jewels are common throughout the Silver Spire, adding to the building's opulence.
Ruined Viaduct
The viaducts of Leyline were once an intricate network that moved both magic from the Leylines and water across the city to where it was needed most. Now, only crumbling vestiges remain, leaving pools of water amongst broken structures.
Ruins of Leyline
The ruins that remain in Leyline are often hundreds of feet tall as the Djinn built cities that could house the largest of people on Isekai at the time. They often chose to grow their size so they could rival that of the Giants and Dragons instead of remaining the size of the Ancient Fey.
Terraced City
Due to the size of the cavern, the Sapphire City is built in levels that reach up the walls of the cavern. Intricate walkways were built between the various levels, allowing access to the entire city from any point.
Raw Amber
Raw Amber is often found in veins along the tunnels of Káto, deep in the areas that the Gem Dwarves make their homes. Not truly a gemstone, the material is one that the Gem Dwarves covet as they made their capital in one of the largest veins ever found known as the Pit of Amber.
Krojak's End
Art of the Giant Prince's shattered sword has become more common since the days of the Giant Wars. The item is a central piece of the village of Krojak's End and marks a large victory for the Northern Outposts against those that wished to steal their homeland.
Tarnished Armor
Although tarnished, enchanted armor still protects the city of Dreadfall long after its inhabitants have left. The magic that drives these constructs was put in place by a skilled caster and could possibly last for millennia.
Mist from the Abyss
One of the reasons that Dreadfall was built near the abyss was due to the thick, magical mist that blanketed the area. This mist is a creation of Ozul to shroud his Lair, but it served as a benefit to the city across the abyss.
Eryndlyn Stairways
Due to the size of the cavern Eryndlyn is found in, many of these wooden walkways can be found on the edges of the city, leading into the tunnels surrounding the area. Many of the Ruling Council of Eryndlyn have worked to keep these on the peripherals, out of the public eye.
