Forest of Thalin

The Forest of Thalin is a dense, ancient woodland located on the Cape of Larramir, stretching along the western shores of Remon’s southernmost peninsula. This remote and wild forest is filled with towering Fir, Pine, and the Sirathin, whose medicinal bark is highly prized. Other medicinal plants such as Pryval and Meskia, which are occasionally harvested by brave foragers. The forest is thick with underbrush, making it difficult to navigate, and the towering trees block out much of the sunlight, casting the area in perpetual twilight.
The forest is home to some of Remon’s most dangerous and elusive creatures, including the fearsome Basorra, a giant solitary ape that roams the deepest parts of the woodland. These massive creatures are highly territorial and will fiercely defend their homes if they feel threatened, making the Forest of Thalin a perilous place for travellers. The Tak-Tak, a swift and predatory flightless bird, also stalks the forest floor, hunting small mammals and reptiles with deadly efficiency.
The canopy is filled with a variety of bird species, including the Goldbeak, known for its rapid flight and sharp calls, and the rare Royal Plume, a bird with striking golden feathers that is considered a symbol of divinity and royalty. These birds add a splash of color and sound to the otherwise dark and foreboding forest.
