Bay of Enir

The Bay of Enir lies at the far northern edge of Remon, where the Enir River meets the turbulent waters of the Sea of Zarroth. Flanked by the rugged Stonelands to the west and the expansive Hirash Plain to the east, the bay stretches out in a shallow, wide arc. The river's mouth forms a long tidal estuary, where brackish waters surge inland during high tides, nourishing the surrounding marshlands. While the Stoneland coast is defined by high, jagged cliffs, the shores of the Hirash Plain offer more gentle, sandy beaches.   The bay is notoriously stormy, with strong winds from the north frequently stirring its waters into a dangerous froth. While shallow, its treacherous nature is well known, making navigation perilous for those unfamiliar with its hidden shoals. Despite this, the bay remains vital for local fishing communities, who have long adapted to the unpredictable conditions. Fish such as Bellim-Ban and Krethgorr are common catches in the area, with the latter being especially feared for its aggression. Seabirds, including flocks of gulls and Alyrros, are a constant presence, soaring above the waves or roosting along the cliffs.   The Bay of Enir is both wild and beautiful, a place where the forces of nature are constantly in motion. On stormy nights, the wind howls through the narrow channels along the cliffs, adding to the region’s reputation for unpredictability and danger. Yet, on calmer days, the tranquil waters and the stark contrast between the steep cliffs and sandy shores create a scene of rugged beauty. For travelers and traders alike, the bay is both a challenge and a marvel, marking the northernmost boundary of Remon’s diverse landscapes.
