Gods of Chaos
In the Eight States of Chronan, the faith of the Gods of Time and Order is the only lawful religion. Any deity that isn't included among the official eight is deemed a "false god of chaos" by The Order, with some scriptures even calling them demons and devils. Worshipping these deities in the Eight States is considered heresy and has been harshly punished in the history.
Religions practiced outside the Eight States are deemed false and chaotic as well, but for diplomatic reasons, visitors from those nations are rarely pursued unless they attempt to spread their faith in the cities. Despite the ongoing efforts of the Inquisitors, many cults and heretic sects still exist in the countryside and hidden corners of the continent. The resistance movement calling themselves the Agents of Chaos were originally formed by worshippers of these forbidden deities.
