Parcivale is both the name of one of the Eight States of Chronan and its capital city. It lies on the south coast of the continent, on the other side of the Brasswall Range from the arid Hourglass Desert. The region contains fertile plains, deep lakes and dense forests. It is the most populous of the Eight States after the War Between Order and Chaos left the state of @Czenovin ruins.
The capital city of Parcivale is full of tradition, history and museums, for it was mostly spared in the war. The common folk call the city "the Old Loyal" due to its history, stability and security. Despite being on the coast, it is not an important harbor due to the proximity of the shoals around The Forlorn Islands. The Hallowed Halls of the Steam Knights lie close to the capital.
In the recent years, steam engine railways have been built to transport people and goods from city to city by a company founded by the dwarvish Caraferra clan. The western track leads through the Damalot Plains to the city of Seashire and the Allegra Burrows, dens of many lightfoot halfling families. The nearby Cherrywood is covered in pink blooms most of the year, and is a popular destination for newly-weds.
The north-western railway leads deep into the Lodenze Lakelands, via the city of New Lodenze, the village of Primali and ending to the town of Villafrente, near the Frontwood that borders the state of Geigerport.
A track from New Lodenze to the northern village of Genora was recently opened, due to the influence of the mayor who is said to run a shady gambling business in the nearby Genora Backwoods.
The north-eastern railway runs through the town of Cantabel, home to a bardic school, and the farming village of Tritiana's Gift, to the dwarven mining village of Monda. Near the mines of Monda lies the peculiar Fungal Forest that continues deep into the mountain pass leading to the Mystic Moors of Jubileum.
Largest of the lakes in Parcivale is Lake Valor, beyond which rises the five wooded karsts of the Saltissa Hexwood, known as the "Witch's Fingers", for a powerful hag is said to have lived in the forest, cursing it as she died in the hands of the last wizard queen of Uzzud. The curse spread north to the city of Uzzud, which is now a Necropolis, a city of the undead.
East of the capital is the abundant fishing waters of Maliari Bay, jealously guarded by the mysterious inhabitants of Fort Malamar, itself protected by being sandwiched between the bay, the Hexwood and the mountains. The fishing village of Valenpost prevails in the mouth of the Valiant River, having made some sort of contract with the House Malamar.
In the northernmost reaches of the state spread the craggy Tromboli Foothills that prevented the battles raging beyond the mountains in Czenova spreading to Parcivale. A relic of an ancient culture of giants, the immense Gargan Tor, stands on the foothills, inhabited by deadly creatures guarding the giants' mementos.
