Horaeus
The Ruins of Horaeus in the middle of the scorching Hourglass Desert in south-eastern Chronan were once the center of a cult of Khordaganna, a mighty blue greatwyrm. The people of the city were mostly blue dragonborn and kobolds, who held slaves from other species they deemed inferior. The city held a massive temple dedicated to the service of Khordanna. The actual lair of the greatwyrm queen was located further south, at the impervious Stormvault that still stands to this day, surrounded by a magical thunderstorm.
The will of the dragon queen in the city was executed by a hierophant, a high priest who ranked the highest among the dragonborn, and history knows a total of seven of them: Argos, Evarix, Harumakh, Ortho, Silmanyx, Uliseus, and the last of them, Ramanna, who died during The Fellstar cataclysm that devastated the city and slayed Khordaganna as well, and did not get mummified into the Tombs of the Hierophants like her predecessors.
In the aftermath of the cataclysm, the surviving blue dragon followers took to guarding the ruins from raiders. As of late, the last blue dragon guardian was seen leaving the ruins, and a group of daring archeologists formed by the gardenorian Society of Ancient Secrets and the Kelvin Academy of Historical Research in Magnapolis entered the ruins to record its history for the first time. They were inspired by the rumors that the ruins hold a key to Stormvault.
