Mír Paz

Mír Paz is a Hamlet on the East coast of Volat in the Pelago Islands.

The small hamlet has a 10 foot high wall surrounding three sides, with the sea on the fourth. Around the exterior of the walls grows poison oak, thorny briar bushes, flowering sumach, and poison ivy - scatterings of wild flowers like colourful foxgloves and purple periwinkles.

Statutes

Standing in a circle back to back are statutes of six deities - with hands on hips and arms linked:-
+ Cyrrollalee - Halfling form - standing on a step - slight smile - looking West
+ Sarula Iliene - Water Genasi form - balanced on a small wave - eyes wide - looking East
+ Ronin Mikoto - Human form - balanced on one foot in fighting dance pose - looking skyward
+ Tempus - Half-Orc form - mouth in a roar - looking down
+ Nuwan - Goliath - standing proud - looking North
+ Gaerdal Ironhand - enlarged Gnome form - war hammer on belt - looking South

Tenhammers

Priests and Clerics of Gaerdal Ironhand pray each dawn. They call each ten days "Tenhammers", after a custom of striking a metal shield with a large hammer at the end of each day and because ten days was a typical duration of guard duty for followers of Gaerdal. After ten Tenhammers, the final day was considered a holy day known as a Great Clang and believers would assemble to sing hymns and chants.
