Grace
Grace is a Hamlet in Volat, Pelago Islands - founded in 1325AG. It is purposefully out of the way.
Coming from the Southern end of Talovo Lake, if going West, at the first river crossing - crossing Dragonfly River - there is a fairly steep climb to the West, then the path splits the left path heading to wards The Tablelands. Heading right leads to stunning, loud waterfall. Finding the path across can be difficult, and thistle bushes tend to grow over the path.
After 400 feet there is another fork in the track, there is a very steep climb up, and then a partial downwards track into the Hamlet of Grace.
A crove of Chestnut trees, Walnut trees and Ronan trees lies on the North-East side of the settlement. Wild lavender and milk thistle scatter the hillside, amongst over wild flowers. To the south is a fork in the track, there is a very steep climb up, and then a partial downwards track into the Hamlet.
Grace is not a place people tend to visit - although they are very welcoming of visitors. The locals are considered peculiar.
No one talks of genders, roles or age. The people are individuals by personality and names - even in deities. However they all are one 'pack'.
They focus on community and raising children together. In Grace the children sleep as a pack, with adults taking turns to watch over them through out the nights. Their learning is by playing and running wild in the surrounding 'safe' areas.
Children play outside until the two moon rise. Even the adults spend as much time in the outdoors as possible. Dance and music are considered important - as methods of mental health - as are the mushrooms they grow.
They harvest cocoa beans for hot beverages and baking, along with only three types of mushrooms - Chaga, Lion's Mane, and Reishi. There is a community vegetable and most of their clothing is made from sheep's wool.

Name
Grace as the name of the settlement means courteous good will - came from the words "by the Grace of" whichever deity was mentioned.The first three families were:
