The Tablelands
The Tablelands is a highland region of Volat near the settlements of Kamar and Dane. It starts slightly south of the Irdery Ranges, and is West of the Dragonfly River.
Contain within the spread of the Tablelands is the Black Hills Forest.
The landscape is a mix of rainforest, wetlands and savanna is home to numerous birds and wildlife - like capybaras, red pandas, quokka, many birds including White-Browed Scrub Wren, small bats and lizards. The region encompasses the Waterfalls Circuit, the 27km loop (takes about 5 hours on foot), that includes Aila Alma Falls, where the forested setting is stunningly beautiful.
The Ki Loop Track is an easy 3.9km loop walking that will take around 1.5 hours walking. Goes into an area know for White-Browed Scrub Wren. It is a peaceful spot where moss grows over rocks forming soft seats.
Aila Alma Falls
Magnificent waterfalls surrounded by lush rainforest. People can enjoy a refreshing swim beneath the Falls - occasionally joined by Capybaras. The wildlife shows much interest in strangers as the people do of them.
