Elves


Elves are long-living creatures - most know both languages of Common and Elvian. Depending their sub-race and up-bring to which other lanuages they might speak and read.

Elves are a magical people of otherworldly grace, living in places of ethereal beauty, in the midst of ancient forests or in silvery spires glittering with faerie light, where soft music drifts through the air and gentle fragrances waft on the breeze. Most Elves tend to love nature and magic, art and artistry, music and poetry.



SUBRACES

There are numerous different subraces and subcultures of elves, including :-

* AQUATIC ELVES - Sea Elves - deeply in touch with their watery environment. Languages includes Aquan.
~ Constitution score increases by 1.


* DARK ELVES - Drow - tend to live in the Underdark of Ru'Mal and Ru'Than.
~ Charisma score increases by 1
~ Superior Darkvision


* DEEP ELVES; STONE ELVES - Rockseer - live in caverns and rock. Their languages includes Undercommon.
~ Constitution scores increas by 2 (−2 Dexterity): Deep elves are bulkier and less nimble than other elves.


* HIGH ELVES - Eladrin - graceful warriors and wizards who originated from the realm of Faerie, also known as the Feywild. An Eladrin is associated with one of the four seasons and has colouration reminiscent of that season, which may also affect the Eladrin's mood
~ Intelligence score increases by 1
+ MOON ELVES- Silver Elves
+ SUN ELVES - Gold Elves


* WILD ELVES - Wyld Elves - Green Elves - Grugach - extremely insular race who remained close to nature
~ Wisdom score increases by 1.


* WOOD ELVES - Copper Elves - a harsh, naturalistic lifestyle within the woods they protect
~ Wisdom score increases by 1.


* SHADOW ELVES - Shadar-Kai - sworn to The Raven Queen's service, the mysterious shadar-kai venture into the Material Plane from the Shadowfell to advance her will.
~ TRAINING = increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1.

AVARIEL

* WINGED ELVES - Avariel - split into two groups that co-existed together, labeled "warlike" and "peaceful". In addition to speaking Elvish, Common and Auran, the avariels had their own unique form of sign language based around aerial movement. Involving things such as flaps, stalls, and wind dips. It was a less subtle sign language than those of non-flying races, having been developed primarily for communication during flight.
~ Charisma score is increased by 1
~ a flying speed of 30 feet

WARLIKE AVARIEL
Avariel warriors were geared towards war and power, answering to war chiefs who governed avariel society equally with the religious leaders. They lived by a complex code of honor and spent their lives defending their race. In combat, these avariel showed no mercy, often using ranged attacks from above and believing that others should know better than to create an enemy of a superior foe such as themselves. They also viewed surrender to be dishonorable (for both themselves as well as their enemies), holding the idea that when a warrior drew blood, it was a promise to honour them with their combat skill, and slaying them was fulfilling that promise. To leave a defeated foe alive was to humiliate them.

PEACEFUL AVARIEL
The other side of avariel society included scholars, philosophers, and artists. Intellectuals who believed in solving problems through reason and diplomacy, these avariels spent much time researching magic and history, contemplating religion, and producing art for the sheer joy of creation.



Elves With Dwarf ancestory

The extremely rare Elves with Dwarves ancestory - Short and Slender Elves that unlike the other Elves can actually grow facial hair, pointed tipped ears, completely lack wrinkles and deformities.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Dexterity score increases by 2.

* Darkvision
* Keen Senses = proficiency in the Perception skill
* Fey Ancestry = advantage on saving throws against being charmed, (magic can’t put you to sleep.)
* Trance = Elves don’t need to sleep.
