History
In 1092AG, the Hammerforge Palace was constructed for a Dwarf known as Brokoic Reirgut Hammerforge, when he was voted to rule as the first King of Malnax. The first Rowan tree was planted in the royal gardens when he was crowned, in the following year.
The Giants had vanished from all over Esau long enough ago, the people felt safe to build permentant settlements. Jeyton was a very small settlement developing on the edge of Paboln Lake, in the Genx region.
It was a time when Dwarves and other races did not freely mingle. Therefore King Brokoic’s choice of bride surprised the whole of Esau. King Brokoic purposely selected a woman who was only half of the Dwarves. He wanted to strenghten relationships with other races. She was also half of the Elves. Her name was Loretta Larma Crabblossom.
They married in 1100AG, and Loretta became his Queen. They had four sons Reirgut, Torva, Chrivar, and Alom; without any daughters. The kingdom faced a mighty Land Hydra and unfortunately lost numerous men, including the two older princes.
In 1137AG, the eldest of the remaining sons, Chrivar Brokoic Hammerforge became the next King. King Chrivar choose to marry a Human female named Genitess Zelda Tatorn. They lived long lives, also having four children.
Meanwhile, Prince Alom first married Princess Ingaret ( The Lady Knight ) as agreed on when she played a major role in defeating the Hydra, life was good for them both. However, they had no children that survived to birth. After ten years, the marriage was over.
The 29 year old Prince Alom then re-married to a Dwarf female Jenthiel Laldov, to whom he had three daughters, Lucisa, Belkis and Frojli.
In 1190AG, after a long rule of King Chrivar, his eldest grandson Dougar Brokoic Hammerforge, was crowned. In 1194AG, his Human wife Julietta Rama Flexner Hammerforge followed his rule as the first ruling Queen - as King Dougar died only four years later in battle. She was already pregnant with their only child.
When born, the child was named Dougar Julian Hammerforge. His links to his Dwarven ancestors was strongly encouraged by his history tutor.
However when Dougar was crowned at sixteen years old, in 1211AG, was living in an increasingly Human society of Jeyton City. He was the first to plant exotic flowers (gathered from the Northern Isle ), in the Royal garden - over looking Peboln Lake.
King Dougar never married, but had a son Brokoic Reirgut Hammerforge II with a woman simply remember as Zemiat of unknown mixed race.
At the age of twenty, King Brokoic II married a Human named Felicity Aba Traynor, in 1248AG. She gave him a daughter Lionia Felicity and a son Orvar Brokoic. Queen Felicity died of Blackly, when the disease swept through the Malnax continent. Young Orvar had always poorly, after only just surviving the same dreadful illness.
In 1269AG, it came to the 17 year old Lionia Felicity Loretta Hammerforge to rule as the new Queen - first ruling Queen who was a descendant of King Brokoic Reirgut Hammerforge.
Despite the offer of marriage from Christok Reese Lark (the second son of the noble family from the Agwain region), Queen Lionia refused to marry at 19 years old. Conflict arose between the Royal family and the Lark family - to whom the settlement of Lark had been named.
When she did marry at 24 years old, Queen Lionia Hammerforge refused to change her name, and decreed that all females and males of the continent of Malnax had the right to chose.
Her husband became known as Prince Gunhred Zander Fuller Hammerforge. Gunhred was the youngest son of a family with long pure Human bloodlines. The town of Fuller in Agwain region was named for Gunhred's family, as their estate.
In 1277AG, Queen Lionia and Prince Gunhred had only one child, a son Ronald Loran Hammerforge.
A famine stretched the land of Malnax for over a decade from 1291Ag to 1304AG.
When it finally ended, Prince Ronald married a local. There was a continent wide celebration, and decided to take on the surname of his wife Gianna Mary Ashbornum. They toured through out Malnax, leaving Jeyton City for the first time in either of their lives.
Not until the twins, who were the grandsons’ of Queen Lionia and Prince Gunhred, were born in 1309AG did the ties renew between the Lark family and the royal family.
Prince Ronald did not become King until 1340AG.
One of the twins (born in 1335AG), Stefan Chrivar Ashbornum, became the next King, retaking the last name Hammerforge. He married the beautiful and kind Queen Yasmina Grace Rinth.
The settlement Rinth was renamed to honour their union.
They had one child born in 1391AG, a female named Craciona Loretta Hammerforge. While travelling on royal duties, Queen Yasmina went missing, and was later assumed dead. Their daughter took to the throne as Queen/Princess Craciona , when Craconia proved herself ready to rule. Yasmina was found by a party of adventurers known as "The Seekers", trapped within a magic Hotel by a female Drow.
The other twin Ronald Loran Ashbornum II was cruelly assassinated as an adult, in a plot uncovered by another group of adventurers. The Duchess Dosarae Lorna Treadmoor Ashbornum was descentant of the Lark family and grew up in the settlement of Lark - as a child had frequently visiting Jeyon City and Hammerforge Palace (occasionally her brother Gunther joined her). She became an important figure in the palace, the Duke’s stead. Dorarae rises their adventurous son Ronald Loran Ashbornum III.
Craconia's suitors have all meet unusual ends.
The first, Philip Waceton was turned to stone by a Hag spell.
The second, Darvin Tedronei died in what was thought to be an accident, but later was proved to be part of an assination plot.
The third was Lord Sylvester Tedronei (Darvin's cousin) to whom she was engaged. Yet Lord Sylvester was murdered in 1421AG, by a party of adventurers, when found to be part of the assination plot to take over the rule of Malnax.
Ronald Loran Ashbornum III is first in line as heir to the throne.
