Gaerdal Ironhand
(a.k.a. The Stern)
Gaerdal Ironhand is a lawful good deity, and the patron of warriors and protectors of gnomish communities. As such, they are honored in some manner by most good-aligned those of the Gnome race - and one or two crusaders of theirs can be found in most sizable settlements. Their symbol is an iron band - usually worn on the upper left arm. Their preferred weapon was the warhammer Hammersong*.
* This powerful warhammer has a +4 enchantment. Whenever Hammersong hits a solid surface, it emitts a deafening clang. Everyone who hears this ear-shattering ringing is rendered deaf for 2d12 minutes, however Gaerdal himself is immune.

Priests of Gaerdal pray at dawn. They call each ten days "Tenhammers", after a custom of striking a metal shield with a large hammer at the end of each day and because ten days is a typical duration of guard duty for followers of Gaerdal. After ten Tenhammers, the final day is considered a holy day known as a Great Clang and believers assemble to sing hymns and chants.
