Aarakocra

Aarakocra are bird-like humanoids with feathers, beaks and wings - features of various breeds of birds. Due to the importance of birds in Esau - some see Aarakocra as good omens. While others see them as people to gain control over.

The aarakocra, also known as birdfolk, are avian humanoids who often live in high, mountainous regions. They are strong fliers and capable warriors.

Aarakocra have also been called "sky hunters" and "feather heads".

Aarakocra are most comfortable in the sky, and can spend hours or days gliding on thermals - in their native Elemental Plane - The Plane of Air - this can extend to months in the endless sky. Once airborne, they are often reluctant to land on the ground.

Most Aarakocra prefer to live an unburdened, mobile existence, like that of the wind itself. They believe in only using what they need, and leaving any leftovers behind for others. Many Aarakocra have no concept of property - for example, they can be known to casually take food from farms. Some Aarakocra have little interest in material wealth, however do take an interest in shiny objects, which they use to decorate their home.
