Garden of Forking Ways

The Garden of Forking Ways is the realm of Destiny of The Endless.

Located beyond the boundaries of normal space, the Garden is a strange, ever-changing landscape, traversed by paths that fork, divide and reconnect. Sometimes it may look like a hedge maze, labyrinthine ancient ruins, a vast sandy desert or something completely different.

Destiny of The Endless is the only one who understands the Garden's geography and he hardly receives visitors unless he calls for them. When he needed to someone to protect the Book of Souls from the Luck Lords, he finds someone special from Esau or Lyre in the Prime Material Plane, sending them back afterwards.

Sometimes Destiny uses his mansion in the Garden to hold meetings with his siblings of The Endless family.

Trespassers are doomed to wander the Garden until their deaths.
Lobot is the only mortal being known to find his way through the Garden thanks to his tracking power leading him straight to Destiny. He did a short stint as the gardener, but soon returned to his life as a bounty hunter.

DESTINY

SYMBOL = book

The oldest of The Endless, Destiny appears as a blind figure dressed in grey or brown robes, carrying an enormous open book, the Cosmic Tome. The book is linked by chain to Destiny's wrist - is the book chained to them or are they chained to the book, remains an unanswered question. Within the book is written the entire sum of existence, past, present and future. Destiny seems the most possessed by their function and responsibilities of any of The Endless. Destiny rarely demonstrates much personality. Though he is blind, he can see. His whispering speech is a combination of numerous old and modern languages with words forgotten, current and those yet to be created. Destiny moves within a maze in their garden where path are followed as souls walk along to fulfill their lives.

LOBOT

Lobot is an intergalactic bounty hunter, a Warforged who travels all over Esau and Lyre. Known for his colorful speech, excellently tracking skills, and rapid regeneration/repair. He is seen as a nuissance more than a threat.
Inspired by the idea of genocide, Lobot created a swarm of lethal scorpion-like creatures, he set them on his people wiping out his entire species by himself. He claimed it was a science project and gave himself an 'A' grade. Since then he has traveled the galaxies collecting bounties. Despite his ruthless nature, Lobot has a strict code of honour when it comes to these agreements.
Lobot loves to fight, loses patience easily, is very arrogant and does not get along in a group.Even when he does gain a companion or "friend" they are often the target of his physical and verbal violence.
Lobot is an infallible individual of his word. He will never break a contract, even if it means his death. However, experience has taught him to choose his words carefully to allow for loopholes.

THE LUCK LORDS

Identity is very Secret. They are extreme followers of the Lady Luck Tymora, and believe Destiny should not be allow to hold the the Book of Souls. They want people's lives to be controlled completely by luck.
