GHG Session 60: Mind Games

General Summary

Month 4, Week 1, Year 919
With a couple weeks to spare before Kyoko's international conference, the Fortunate Five starting using their free time to check up on old allies. Teherse'singh hashed out the details of his alliance with William Fintuna, one where William would ascend to the sahuagin throne and Teherse'singh would be granted access to ancient ruins dating back to the 1st and 2nd Cycles beneath the Karaga Sea. Bubbles visited Bleu at the temple of the Ageless One, Reetma continued to pray at the local Eldath shrine, and Windred helped sprucen up the gardens around the shrine with Dranaya's blessing. She also obtained a pricey Amulet of Health, something that surely won't be needed anytime soon.   Zan'kiri spent his free time spying on the wielder of his Horn, Taro Sato. He had Xa'kara present for the first time he scryed on him to make sure he didn't fly off the handle, only to end up frustrated by Taro's helplessness and the Knights of Rarita's clear manipulations. Violence against such a weak rival would never feel satisfying, so he turned to more diplomatic means and arranged a dreamtime negotiation with Ysmyrelda's help. The meeting had a bumpy start as Ys failed to convince Taro that she wasn't a fey spirit working for a hag, but in a shocking turn of events Zan'kiri got to swoop in and play the good cop in this negotiation. Carefully explaining how he was more interesting in reclaiming the Horn than seeking vengeance, Zan'kiri managed to assuage Taro's fears about the monsters he'd unleash if he surrendered the Horn. The two of them came to an understanding where Taro would deliver the Horn to Zan'kiri at an arranged date and time, leaving both of their fates beyond the control of the Knights. Cooler heads prevail when Gray Hats aren't involved, and Zan'kiri's display of mercy helped give Taro his first night of peaceful sleep in months.   The necromancer was all set to update the party on his breakthrough from the night before, but all of that got derailed when Windred and Reetma got into another prank battle early in the morning that somehow ended with both of them falling into the Sakana Lakes. The prank started with a Magic Mouth uttering the words 'Windred, I've come to save you' made to sound like Craghan's voice, and it was all fun and games until the very real Craghan started disrupting Windred's connection to Cheyeashtai. To add injury to insult, Windred soon felt a stabbing feeling in her back as Craghan carved new words into her body: 'I've come to save you'. He started writing out his demands on the kalashtar's arm, explaining how they'd meet in the forests to rescue Windred from her so-called parasite. Her and Reetma raced back to the rest of the FF to tell them about Craghan's latest exploits, only to be interrupted by Samira and her bad news. Apparently, the Sanjuro City military captain and fellow kalashtar Inaba went missing a couple days ago...
