Norstir
Norstir is the largest continent on the world of Armea, encompassing a staggering number of biomes, realms, and peoples. In the Dawn Age the gods themselves walked the world, most of them residing in Norstir, where they left behind the Cities of Heaven which have dominated Norstir's politics ever since. Other political centers do exist, though they have taken time to develop whereas the Cities of Heaven have always been able to claim divine authority.
Geography
Norstir's geography stretches from tundra and taiga, including two separate expanses of The Deep, in the north, to deserts and plains, to tropical forests in the furthest south. The central mountain range of the continent, spanning from the northwest to the center and roughly dividing east from west, is known as the Worldspine Mountains. East of that is another range called the Jewel Peaks, which run west to east until terminating at the east coast. Rivers and lakes appear frequently across Norstir, allowing for sizable populations around most of the continent, regardless of which type of environment fills a region.
West of Norstir, across the Shining Sea, are the warring island nations of Eregoth and Keldan. Far to the south are the frozen lands of Asala, while to the distant east is the mysterious realm of Abin-Jur
