The massive capital city of Eregoth, located along the Kennelly River that splits the country in two between east and west.

Mostly Human, though many other races live throughout the many districts of the city, often in neighborhood communities.

Government

House Cervantes holds Torellon as its personal fief, making it the de facto capital of Eregoth as Cervantes is the ruling house. The city is divided into smaller wards, many dominated by certain guilds, which then come together in a city council to advise House Cervantes on the needs of the people. Ultimate authority rests with Lord Cervantes, but as they are also the Kings of Eregoth, they often delegate powers to the council to manage things in their stead.

Industry & Trade

As the capital and largest city in Eregoth, Torellon attracts trade from around the world. Situated on a major river, the Kennelly, ships come to and fro, while the fertile farmlands on both sides use the city as a meeting place for trade and to house resources. The size of the city attracts craftsmen and specialists of all types, ranging from mundane smithy work to the finest armorers, mages, artisans, warriors, and more. If it exists, it can probably be found in Torellon.

Sprawling docks and fishing wharves on both sides of the river, guild halls attracting the interests of all Eregoth and beyond, temples to many major gods and their attendant cults, densely-populated caverns inside the plateau beneath the city center

Guilds and Factions

King's Council: The guilds and wards of Torellon send representatives to the royal court of House Cervantes to advise the king on city affairs. Their influence varies heavily depending on the reigning king's temperament, creating a cutthroat environment with everyone vying for royal favor and licenses.

Geography

Torellon is located along the largest river in Eregoth, and its central wards rest upon a large plateau that overlooks the entire region. It is a shining city upon a hill, visible from miles around.
