Wakefield
An abandoned ruin filled to the brim with nefarious traps, Wakefield was once a thriving trade hub and the core of House Fenheart's navy. No longer.
Demographics
Mostly Human
Defences
Palisades surround all sides of Wakefield besides the shore on the Red Lake. Many traps laid by Commander Skellexi remain prepared and unsprung following the Battle of Red Lake.
Industry & Trade
Wakefield is a strategically-located port with access to the entire central waterway of Eregoth. With Wakefield, House Fenheart's capital of Aynor was once well-connected to the rest of the country. Now, both cities are in ruin.
Infrastructure
Docks for both commercial and military use.
History
Wakefield was at the center of the Battle of Red Lake, evacuated by Lord Fenheart and turned into a boobytrapped field of death by his Commander Skellexi. Commander Vint and Skellexi's forces coordinated to force Commander Redbraid's forces into Wakefield, where they were firebombed by Commander Thrask and Skellexi. Now the town is a charred ruin, filled with the corpses and the spirits of the slain.
Geography
Wakefield is built on the northern shore of Red Lake, which funnels south into the Kennelly River which cuts Eregoth in half. The other sides of the town mostly border on rich farmlands and small villages such as Hawthorne and Millstone. North of these is the plateau where the ruins of the 14th Lord remain. Aynor, seat of House Fenheart is to the northeast nestled between hills.
