Military action

Shadar-Kai on the Southern tip of Norstir find Necrotok, the City of Heaven of Nerull, and attempt to establish the Undying Empire. The Black Robed Mages turn to assist them, causing civil war in the City of Five Towers. By the end of the war they were able to bring an end to the Undying Emperor and force a mass exodus of the Shadar-Kai.

The Locust War was fought almost entirely on the Plateau of Bones and Chainer's Bay region of Eregoth, surrounding Necrotok, the City of Heaven devoted to Nerull. The Black Robes of the Conclave Arcanum betrayed the Conclave in favor of the Shadar-Kai while they attempted to consolidate power on the southern coast. They elevated the legendary lich Khathoz'duul to the rank of Undying Emperor, beginning a reign of terror and expanding undead empire across the region.   The City of Five Towers initiated a war against them, initially losing thousands of soldiers against their undying ranks. Only when the Congregation was approached by Eregothian Crusaders and the Eastern Circle of Druids were they able to effectively counter the forces of the Undying Emperor. While civil war raged amongst the Mages of the Conclave Arcanum, the Crusaders and the Druids unified the Guilds, leading a massive assault against the Shadar-Kai from the north, forcing them against the cliffs. The Undying Emperor was slain, and many of the Druids returned with the Crusaders to Eregoth.
