Biskonti Naoned
Structure
The Biskonti Naoned, sometimes referred to as the Naoned Crownlands, is the countryside that surrounds the city of Naoned
Demography and Population
For the demography and population of the city of Naoned itself, please refer to that entry.
The Kornikaned
The Kornikaned, while living in the bocage hedge along the Furrow, are represented in force in the Ogre's Forest.
The Kriores
The goblinoid Kriores, Korrigan of the Moors, are found throughout the region. The Gargantuan Kriores are located heavily in the Furrow and the East, bordering the Marches of La Mee and Ancenis. The Jetin Kriores live along the rivers, and are most common in the Southwest.
The Poulpiquet
The Korrigan of the Dale are largely integrated into other populations, rather than holding any large settlements of their own. They are most common North of the Furrow.
The Teuz
The hooved Korrigan of the Meadows are quite common in the region surrounding Naoned, living in agrarian communities in the towns and hamlets along the Liger River, te
Naoned hosts a thriving Korrigan population, residing in and around the city, fully integrated into the civic and commercial life of the city.
The Gargoul
With the exception of Montluc and Naoned City, there are very few Gargoul settlements in the larger region of Biskonti Naoned. Likewise, the Boléguéans, Hoseguéannets and Margot are mostly found in the North, in the Ogre's Forest, or West of the Furrow, largely integrated into other communities.
The Fomorii
Despite the association with Ogre's Forest, most Fomorii actually live West of the Furrow, near Blackmire, or along the South Bank of the Liger River.
Territories
Naoned's Southern border, for the most part, extends along the North Bank of the Liger River, beginning at the Andennspire in the West, where it borders the Blackmire region of Barony of Gwenrann. A thin sliver of land on the Southern Bank of the Liger, between the City and the village of Montluc, is owned by the Biskonti, supporting defensive earthworks as well as numerous fishing villages and small river ports.
Northwest of Gwenrann, the small Lordship of Mitaud sits on the River Gwilen, while the North is largely taken up by the Barony of Redon. This border is almost exclusively taken up by the massive Goat C'havr or Ogre's Forest. As the forest thins, the March of La Mee completes the Northern border. The March of Ancenis, located Southeast of La Mee, takes up the remainder of the Eastern border to the North Bank of the Liger.
The Biskonti Naoned shares no border with its Southern vassal the March of Gwiniegi Naoned, but its holdings on the South Bank does create a land border with the Viscounty of Retz.

Gazetteer
Geographical Features
The Biskonti Naoned is largely defined by the Liger River, which makes up the majority of its Southern Border. The bank is a mixture of low-lying plains with some rocky cliffs, rising as one proceeds Westward from the city past the Hermitcliff, then falling off again as one reaches the Andennspire, by which point the Naoned Plateau falls off into the Ar Briwer wetlands, low lying bogs and marshes peppered with small round hillocks. The area around the Furrow, between Naoned and Montluc, is the highest elevation in the region, but no hills reach higher than 100 meters. The Biskonti's territory on the South bank of the Liger is low and muddy, prone to frequent flooding. The majority of the region surrounding the city is taken up by bocage, but the Goat C'havr in the North is heavily forested along the border with Redon.Major Settlements
Beyond the city of Naoned and its Faubourgs, there are several settlements of note, as the region is heavily populated, with towns, villages and hamlets interspersed between them.
Currency
The Biskonti has largely adopted the Livre Tournois, although other currencies, such as those of The Golden Sea are sometimes accepted for some transactions in the city proper. In the more rural areas, especially settlements bordering and within Ogre's Forest, continue to use barter economies, but even these are far less than less populated regions in the Ar Goat or remote coastal areas.
