March of Gwiniegi Naoned
Structure
The March of the Naoned Vignobles is a nominally independent March under the authority of the Konts of Naoned, but is heavily tied to the power structures of its neighbor, with many nobles with ties to the city holding their title and lands in this region. Four minor baronies within the region, centered on the cities of Gwaled, Kelenneg-ar-Mewan, Klison, and Lavreel-Botorel.
The Lords of Goulaine, traditional sovereigns of the Barony of Lavreer-Botorel, is often the position held by the Captain of the Naoned City watch, a reward for service.
Culture
The March is pastoral and agricultural, dedicated to the production of wine and grapes. Settlement is centered around the four cities, dispersing outwards.
The region, especially its largest city of Klison, has a surprising connection with the Golden Sea, especially the hill town of Balzana, Lupino and La Citta Gigliata, trading both wines and cuttings to further each others vineyard development. Klison has even adopted the architectural styles of these regions, adapted for the mild Northern climate.
The Fair of Sant-Katell is held at and around the oratory of Lavreer-Botorel is held annually during Kerzu between Kalan-Goañv and Nedeleg, the last major harvest fair of the year
History
The March was established by Gallia around 407 SI, to counter the growing powers of a consolidated Letha.
It was fortified by Duke Alan "Al Louarn" II during his campaigns against Hastings Fireforged in the 840s, witch castles built in Lavreer-Botorel and Klison.
Territories
The March is located on the Southeastern border of Letha. Its Western neighbor, the Viscounty of Retz, marks its only neighbor on the South Bank of the Liger River, although a small stretch in the Northwest, marking the Hamlet of Pirmil and the end of the Dugsbridge, is under the control of the Viscounty of Naoned, while the Northern Bank is entirely held by the Viscounty, save for a small corner of the March of Ancenis in the Northeast.
The Diwazh River, a small tributary of the Liger, marks the border with the Anjevin Viscounty of Mauges in the East, while the Sevre Nantais and other small tributaries divide the March from the Lordship of Montaigu, an Akitanian Vassal.
Agriculture & Industry
Lavreer-Botorel hosts two large windmills near the Oratory.

Gazetteer
The March is located on the South Bank of the Liger River, bounded by the Sevre Nantais and other minor tributaries. Its gently rolling hills are dominated by hectares of vines in straight rows as far as the eye can see.
The town of Lavreel-Botorel is located in the Northwest between the Liger and the Diwazh, largely devoted to agricultural uses. A large oratory, built by the Bardic College of Akitania, is the largest structure in this part of the region, and draws in performers and scholars to its vaunted halls. The Southwest is made up of the low-lying wetlands, the Marsh of Goulaine.
South of Lavreer-Botorel and North of Klison is the town of Gwaled, built on the banks of the Sainguèze River. It is largely agricultural and rural, focusing on viticulture and dairy production.
Klison, the de-facto capital of the region is the largest and most powerful city in the region, located between Gwaled and Kelleneg-Ar-Mewan. It stands on a rocky outcropping overlooking the confluence of the Sevre and the Mewan Rivers.
Kelenneg-ar-Mewan, located along the Mewan River, borders the Biskonti Retz in the Southwest. A largely rural region, it is a local center for weaving.
