Arborside

Arborside can be found on the northern shore of The Arborside Lake and east of The Arbor. Once a quaint town built by The Kingdom of Illargos to emulate the halfling town of Brewton, Arborside has seen exponential growth in the years following the war. In present time, Arborside is quickly becoming known as the trade capital of Central Midasfjall, with shipping industries running across The Arborside Lake and merchants taking advantage of Arborside's central location in the region to establish their headquarters there.

History

In the years during the skirmishing between The Kingdom of Illargos and the Dwarven Clans, Arborside's population boomed with an influx of refugees fleeing south, away from the fighting in the north western colonies, as well as the flow of soldiers marching from the kingdom's cities through the town towards staging-post colonies like Forskton and Fombry, which in turn saw merchants scramble to set up shipping routes across The Arborside Lake to save time navigating the paths of The Arbor Forest. In the years following the end of the war, the central location of Arborside coupled with the rapid growth of the small town provided the ideal conditions for a large, industrious township to emerge and act as a meeting point for traders from all corners of Central Midasfjall.
