Midasfjall

Midasfjall is a continent once ruled over by an ancient empire of elves who worshiped an ancient deity known as Ordentia - The Lady of Order. After a calamitous war with the Titans of Chaos - Agents of Oberron, the Lord of Chaos - the empire suffered a huge magical cataclysm which destroyed the empire and caused it's people to die out. The cataclysm left a vast region of Midasfjall barren of life and drained the magical energies of the whole continent. The loss of magical energy caused creatures of magic to die out, magical potential in people to dwindle, and inhibited the influence of the gods, leaving the people of Midasfjall without a higher power for a time. Now magic is beginning to make an explosive return; creatures once thought extinct are being discovered again, extra-planar portals are opening at random spewing forth chaos, the magical potential of the people is increasing, and the gods have returned.
