Lionshield Coster: Phandalin

Lionshield Coster: Phandalin is an outpost for Lionshield Coster, a large merchant company based in Yartar with locations all across the realm.

Linene Graywind is the manager of the Phandalin location.

Campaign Recap

Meeting Linene Graywind (17-18 Tarsakh)

On 17 Tarsakh, Conor McGregor, Herb Stoner and Lords' Alliance agent Sildar Hallwinter visited the Lionshield Coster in Phandalin.

The group explained to the manager Linene Graywind that they heard she was having trouble with goblins. Linene told them that an expected shipment never arrived, and she suspected goblins on the Triboar Trail. Conor, Herb and Sildar then reported to her that they recognized the goods in the Cragmaw Hideout as belonging to Lionshield Coster. As a reward for that information, Linene gave the group 60 GP. She then took some staff members and a wagon to the hideout to retrieve the goods.

On 18 Tarsakh, Conor and Herb returned to the Lionshield Coster, this time with their new ally Rayphlárd. Linene told the group that she was able to successfully retrieve her goods from the Cragmaw Hideout. The group then sold her some of the items they took from their encounter with the Redbrand Ruffians at the Redbrand Hideout.

Meeting Velleen Firecrow (30 Tarsakh)

On 30 Tarsakh, Collateral Damage - including their new members Shinzon Greenshadow and Tubby - visited the Lionshield Coster: Phandalin and talked with the owner Linene Graywind. Linene explained to them that another shipment failed to arrive, and she looked for the group for help, but they weren't in town. The group then assured Linene that the Cragmaw Tribe was no longer a threat, and it was safe to go look for the shipment again at their former hideout.

Meanwhile, Herb Stoner entered the shop in his new tiefling form. Herb started a conversation with the new assistant manager Velleen Firecrow; earlier that day Halia Thornton asked the group to learn more about Velleen (for more details, visit the Velleen Firecrow page).

Herb asked Velleen where she got her handbag, and she answered that she got it custom made in Leilon. Herb claimed to know a girl with a handbag like that, and he said that Velleen reminded him of her. Herb then explained that he missed the girl and asked Velleen for a lock of her hair. Velleen then told Herb to "get the hell out." Herb resisted, and Linene got involved and pushed Herb out the front door. Linene called out to the Phandalin Town Guard, and Herb backed down. Linene then banned Herb from returning to the shop.

After that commotion, Shinzon went outside and used a potion of invisibility to help him sneak into the back of the Lionshield Coster. He was able to navigate through the kobold servants, go behind the counter in the front room, and look at a letter in Velleen's handbag. The letter said:

"Fheralai, nothing to report for now. Plan to influence the Barthen's Provisions shop assistant going well. Will report back with more later. - Velleen."

Shinzon then resealed the letter with candle wax and exited through the front door.
