History of Arkos

In the destructive aftermath of the Cataclysm, the remaining Ancients pooled their power together to create a barrier; separating themselves from the Mortal Realm.

The proposed timeframe for the existence of the first Lightbringer, the fabled entity born of primordial light that arose out of the darkness of the Cataclysm.

King Andrias with his flying fortress city of Lorkas creates the kingdom of Caulem on the northern end of Revros, seeking to be a successor to the Alphacian legacy. Lorkas crashes and the kingdom falls 40 years later due to infighting and rebellion.

Mythra founds the Order of the Eclipse alongside Torrin Firragon, Telmin Brightforge, Alathar Balefrost, Teg Trickfoot and Golag EagleEye.

After losing Torrin Firragon and ending Nex's reign of terror, Mythra Crescentia establishes the Crescent Empire, declaring herself as Soverign ruler.

The Church of Creation is founded in the Crescent Empire and the Holy Order of Paxmal, becoming most of Western Arkos' official religion.

Seven great eastern houses are brought to heel under Alexandros Mengsk, forming the Oreion Inquisition.

Sailing a fleet of merchants ships in an attempt to find a new trade route through Western Arkos, Reygorn Blackstrand finds the lands that would be later known as the kingdoms of Shegoth and the holy order of Paxmal. Establishing relations with the devout locales, Reygorn negotiates what would later become the largest trading kingdom on Western Arkos.

The trade lords and merchant guilds of the continent of Scandia pool their interests and resources to form the Confederacy of Scandia, in the hopes of increasing their profits through united trade.

The goblinoid nation on the eastern side of Scandia is formed.

After House Cygnus rebelled against House Mengsk and stated their resolve to secede from the Inquisition, Grand Inquisitor Pontius Mengsk utterly annihilated the noble house and its leadership, causing its members to flee and assimilate into the remaining houses. Pontius left only the lake they presided over as a reminder to the other noble houses that the cost of betrayal is high.

House Dawngrasp of the Oreion Inquisition accused the Old Rovers of stealing supplies and livestock from Oreion trade routes. This nature of blaming was not uncommon, although things quickly escalated when soldiers of The Veiled Hand began moving across the border and imprisoning Rovers throughout the woods. In retaliation, the Old Rovers took up arms against the Oreion forces with their powerful arcane arts.   Feeling extreme pressure from the Oreion government, The Auric Wings and The Justicars of Velant took up arms against the Rovers, resulting in the Green War, one of the bloodiest, and quickest, conflicts on Velant soil. With the inclusion of Velant forces, the Rovers were hopelessly outnumbered, and the survivors fled deeper into the woods to attempt to survive as hunters and scavengers.

Due to the increased activity of the cultist group The Followers of Nex in both nations, the Crescent Empire and Oreion Inquistion meet in the Crescent Bay and agree to a temporary armistice.
