Kingdom of New Caulem

The Kingdom of New Caulem is a monarch ruled nation on north-east Revros; though the true political power of the nation lies with the High Magistrate. It is an elvish country that is divided into two sections by the local populace; the beautiful lake capital of Lorkas together with its surrounding townships that boasts a high number of high elves, and the sprawling forest of the Lustrum Wilds; the largest known forest on Western Arkos that houses a large population of wood elves.
Many elvish historians and scholars insist that Lake Sharlyan serves as the crash site of Lorkas, to be accuarte. As most of the native elves know, Caulem has a rather bloody and broken history, as depicted by the shattered blade on the nation's flag. Seeing himself as a successor to the powerful legacy of The Alphacians during the early years of the Second Age, King Andrias united many of the scattered elves of Western Arkos after The Cataclysm shattered the continents apart. Using leftover technology from the The Alphacians, Andrias sought to rule over and control the mortal races of Western Arkos through the magic and might of a constructed flying fortress of Lorkas. Andrias' campaign of conquest was shortlived, however, as his elvish regime soon fell apart due to infighting and rebellion both in Lorkas itself and in the Lustrum Wilds, after Andrias threatened to set fire to the forest if its denizens would not join him. Andrias and most of the flying city's populace perished as Lorkas crashed into the northern shore of Lake Sharlyan, bringing the original Kingdom of Caulem to an end. Any hopes of the remaining elvish denizens re-establishing themselves were dashed when Western Arkos was ravaged by the Primordials some time later in the Second Age.
It wasn't until the Third Age that the elves of Caulem united enough to return to and repair their damaged capital and appoint a new royal line. Thus, the Kingdom of New Caulem was born, most of its people determined to put the past behind them and not repeat the mistakes of their Second Age ancestors. Currently, New Caulem is best known for its advances in agricultural technology, as well as being at the forefront or Realm traversal technology. The stunning architecture of Lorkas itself, as well as the sheer beauty and vastness of the Lustrum Wilds, are well known throughout Revros and beyond.
