House Mengsk

House Mengsk is one of the great houses of the Oreion Inquisition and is the current ruling house of the entire country. The house presides over the great city of Victorum and the majority of central Oreion. When Alexandros Mengsk formed the Inquisition by uniting the great houses of central Solanus, he began by transforming the peoples of House Mengsk into the some of the most brilliant tacticians and warriors of the early third age.
House Mengsk not only formed the Inquisition, but has remained its ruling house for most of the country's existence. This is due largely in part to the expert political manuvering and pragmatic nature of the Mengsk family members, with its current head Pontius Mengsk being no exception.
The symbol of House Mengsk is a white wolf on a blue shield. There are many reasons for this symbolism according to members of the house; the blue represents the superior nobility felt by the house, while the wolf both represents the 'pack' mentality the Inquisition ideally should have. The wolf was also said to be Alexandros Mengsk's favorite animal, while Pontius Mengsk has taken up the nickname the Wolf of the East.
