The capital city of Abraia. Austere cement buildings are made vibrant with hanging gardens, vined trellises form shaded canopies over plazas housing Sunday markets, and nectar-drinking birds flit from one balcony to the next until they're full. Yet most who live here know the beauty is a veneer over a manipulative culture.
Abraia Central is the seat of the country's parliament, attracting politicians and would-bes, as well as lobbyists and CEOs. Though the parliament is under a strict oversight board, everyone knows questionable deals happen behind the scenes. There's very rarely proof of these dealings, however, at least nothing that makes them outright illegal.
There are also those who target the city's tourists. Grifters, scammers, and pickpockets are rife within the busy markets, and locals often watch with amusement when visitors get duped into parting with their credits.Timeline
