Thesteia

The village of Thesteia is little more than a crossroads, but it’s notable for its temple to Karametra. The site draws farmers from the region who offer a portion of their crops to the god of agriculture.

Demographics

Low-class human farmers, traders, and hunters.

Government

The small area barely needs a government and if they ever have any issues with defense or their lands, a representative is sent to Meletis to ask for assistance.

Defences

When needed, forces from Meletis are used to protect the small crossroads and very rarely the few villagers will come together to defend themselves from monsters or bandits, but they aren't trained and survival is about 50/50.

Industry & Trade

Their meager food and meat collected are sometimes traded with Meletis for basic supplies and building materials, but the hamlet mostly keeps to itself and trades within itself amongst the people.

Infrastructure

small, thatch homes with some stonework, small farms, one large stone Temple to Karametra.

History

A devout follower once built the Temple of Karametra long ago while the village was still a part of the ancient Meletis ruled by a tyrant. That temple withstood the challenges of time and power changes and still stands. The once developed and popular trade route died off however and the small village was unable to keep up with the pace of growth other villages and the polis itself achieved. Visits to the Temple died down to a slow trickle, but there are still the occasional traveler who comes to pay homage on one of the first Temples of Karametra in the Meletian area.

Tourism

There are some that stay, not for long, to see the Temple of Karametra, but it is open to the public and the donations left for its upkeep barely keep it going.

Geography

One of the few landlocked settlements of Meletis, the is a simple farm area with some wooded areas for hunting.

Natural Resources

some wood from the forested area, grain from fields, small farms of goats, vegetables, fruits, olives, etc.
