Sitrium
This coastal town is known for the way many of its buildings are on stilts to accommodate the changing tides. Sitrium is famed for its skilled shipwrights- the people who build and launch wooden vessels. Many of the naval vessels used by the Reverent Army of Meletis are made in Sitrium.
Demographics
middle and lower class humans and some tritons in the nearby shore, most of whom are fishers, shipwrights, or sailors.
Government
They have a mayor and representative who works with Meletis to help them get what they need and helps to facilitate the trade of ships and fish to the polis in return for much needed supplies.
Defences
Meletis has their coastal guard help protect the town so that their valuable ships and territory on the water is not lost.
Infrastructure
wooden and stone structures built on stilts to withstand rising tides, worn-travel roads, shipyard and construction docks, widespread wooden docking across the entire coast side, market square with stalls.
History
Several times during its early history Sitrium was thrashed by giant waves and rough weather from the sea causing heavy destruction. The town has learned from this and now builds clever homes and structures with extensive drainage that are on stilts and often tightly closing windows and doors.
Geography
South of Oxus and right on the water the town is susceptible to harsh weather and changing tides, there are rocky hills along the beach and coast and in the surrounding area, the soil is sandy and rough.
